Junior chess clubs
Psyon Chess runs junior clubs for beginners and improvers, up to an ECF standard rating of 1200. Sessions combine a structured curriculum with group coaching on a large screen — the key ideas of chess theory, interactive puzzles, tactical themes and motifs, common checkmate patterns, opening principles — and practice games that reinforce the learning while the children enjoy themselves. Psyon Chess also runs regular competitions and junior-only tournaments, so children can socialise with their peers, compete at their own level, and earn or improve an official ECF or FIDE rating.
The clubs run largely during school term dates.
